Since 2016, I’ve been Halifax Magazine’s beer journalist. In 2017, the magazine transitioned its wine column to a beer column. Coming from traditional journalism, getting to have an opinion on the page was new to me, but I think I’ve hit my stride.
As with all of Halifax Magazine’s beer coverage, our goal is to reach readers who may not know much about craft beer but are eager to learn. I keep the language approachable and the topics reader-focused.
Here are a few of my favourites:
The price is right –As Buck-a-Beer fails in Ontario, we look at the real cost of making Nova Scotian craft beer
Boys’ club no longer –Meet the women carving out their own space in the Nova Scotian craft-beer scene
What’s in a name – As Nova Scotia’s beer industry grows, who defines craft? And why does it matter?
